Ok, I can explain.
It doesn't make much sense, but I can explain none the less...

I was digging through my animu folders when I decided to watch the last ep of host club. Tamaki leaping for Haruhi was my favorite part, and for some obvious reason, I pictured Riku reaching out for her in Tama's place, thus the urge to draw Riku/Haruhi.
